Welcome to 2Leech’s New Customer FAQ page. In this section we hope to answer questions you may have as a potential new user. If your answer is not here, you can email us and we will answer it.
1. What file hosts can I download from through your service?
Answer: Please check the front page for a list of our current supported hosts.
2. How exactly does the download process work?
Answer: You simply copy the url of the file, whether it be a RapidShare or another service, to the download area and click the “leech” button. Our system will download the file to the server and give you a link to download from us! We suggest you should use a download accelerator such as Internet Download Manager or Orbit Downloader to the maximum speed.
3. How long will the files be available on the server?
Answer: Our system is set to delete files after 6 hours, this is to prevent overloading the storage on our server. You will need to download your files within this time frame, if you don’t the file will be deleted and you will need to leech it again from the original link.
4. Is my private information, such as my IP-address, safe with 2leech?
Answer: We will never sell or give out customer information to any 3rd party. When using 2leech, the file hosting service who hosts the file you download cannot see your IP-address or any information about you. 2leech also does not inspect, unpack or view any files passing through the service. 2Leech also keeps no logs on what our users download, after the files are deleted, they are gone. Unlike other services, we don’t keep a history of what you download, anywhere on our servers, so even if a court subpoena in the Netherlands forced us to provide information, we couldn’t, because we don’t have any!
5. If I buy an account, is it instant access?
Answer: Yes! When you purchase an account from 2Leech you will receive generated user/password to the email address you supply us, immediately. If you do not receive this within 10 minutes of purchase please check your spam folders, if it is not there, email us immediately and we will send you your login details and compensate you for any lost time.
6. RapidShare has 5GB daily download limits. Can I download more if using 2Leech?
Answer: Absolutely! Unlimited means Unlimited and this policy includes RapidShare!
7. I really want unlimited downloads to a file host that 2Leech does not support, how can I request it?
Answer: You can email staff to request the addition of another file hosting service, but whether we will add it or not depends on several factors; if the file host is popular, if we’ve had many other requests for the same host, if our current customers would like that service. We may or may not add it depending on the fore-mentioned criteria. If we plan to, we will let you know.
8. What kind of speed can I expect the server to download my file at?
Answer: Any slow leeching is strictly the fault of the file host and not within our control. File host servers may be slower in peak times than during off-peak hours, it is recommended you try links from another file host or wait and try again in a few hours. Generally speaking, our server(s) leech (transload) from the file hosts at speeds between 1000k/sec and 12,000k/sec although it has been known to hit as higher speeds on some hosts. A few hosts may experience slower speeds, but this is due to time you are downloading, network traffic etc.
9. Will I have to enter captchas, deal with tickets/passports, or wait for timers?
Answer: Absolutely never will you have to do this. Our system bypasses all pre-downloading annoyances.
10. What is the maximum file size I can download?
Answer: The maximum size you can download through our system is 2GB for a single file. (we’re working on increasing this)
11. Can I download files to 2leech and then upload them to my own account on a file host, using their remote-upload feature?
Answer: Yes, we don’t block users who want to save files they download through 2leech by “fetching” or “remote-uploading” to another service. Please be aware that 2leech provides no uploading functions within the service, but does not restrict remote uploads to other hosts.
12. Does 2Leech allow torrent downloading?
Answer: No. If you are looking for a service like 2Leech, but for torrents, try the free service BTAccel!
13. If I purchase a 2leech account, will I be automatically rebilled after it expires?
Answer: No, absolutely not. Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t play games by having auto-renewal, nor do we ever charge your PayPal account without you signing up and clicking ‘pay now’ yourself. What does happen, is after you purchase, you are charged the amount for the package you selected, which you need to approve when paying via PayPal. A subscription is created and auto-cancelled when you pay. To verify this, you can view the transaction in PayPal (although you should receive a cancellation notice from paypal) and you will see it says “cancelled”, this does not mean your 2leech account has been cancelled, it means the renewal as been cancelled. If you should experience issues with payments, feel free to send us an email, but you can rest-assure we will never auto-renew an account.
